Job description

Position: Commissioning Engineer
Reports to: Commissioning Engineering Manager
Location: Central Ohio
Salary Range: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour (Eligible for Overtime)
We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.
Superior is looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will support the Field and Project Operations teams through commissioning planning and execution.The Commissioning Engineer focuses on developing and reviewing methods of procedure (MOPs), supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and ensuring systems are prepared for safe and efficient energization. The position is based on a job site in Central Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs)
  • Support LOTO planning and energized work coordination
  • Lead portions of pre-energization readiness reviews
  • Identify and communicate risks related to startup and system integration
  • Track commissioning progress and support issue resolution
  • Support quality assurance and commissioning efforts at project sites
  • Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and testing partners
  • Interface with owners, construction managers, and project stakeholders to address technical questions and remediate issues

Your Expertise
  • Required: You have experience in the design, construction, and installation of electrical building systems
  • Required: You have experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Required: You have strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundant power systems
  • Required: You have experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards
  • Bonus Points: You have earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
