Job description

Position Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Processor is the individual that performs all processing functions relative to first mortgages in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. The Mortgage Loan Processor ensures they are processing in compliance with underwriting guidelines for portfolio products and investor loans. The Mortgage Loan Processor coordinates loan closing between members, loan originator, Post - closer and Title Company, while meeting rate lock and closing deadlines. The Mortgage Loan Processor effectively and positively communicates with members, vendors, real estate agents, investor and other mortgage lending staff pertaining to the loan.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates Mortgage Loan File received from Processing Team Lead
  • Determines if Mortgage Loan is Section 35 or 32 Loan and proceeds appropriately
  • Completes & Analyzes Third Party Vendor work for Conventional / Investor Loans
  • Compliance Notifications/ Mortgage Appraisals/ Loan Restructuring
  • Properly Performs a Re-verification of Mortgage Applicant/ Co-signer Background Reports, which include but not limited to, Credit, FHA Caivers, Tax Transcripts, Social Security Verification, OFAC, clearing alerts, and Fraud Services
  • Sends clear to close email with Title Company, Loan Originator and Post-Closer communicating expectation to close within 48 hours
  • Monitors contract and lock expiration dates and updates Mortgage Loan Originator
  • Schedules closing with Title Company
  • Submits Loans Accurately in Accu-Doc (ensures loan amounts, fees, monthly insurance (if LTV is over 80% etc., are accurate and dictate correct title company to receive forms)
  • Send out 'Clear to Close report Weekly to Mortgage :Loan Originator, Post Closer and Processing Team Lead
  • Updates timely and accurately the "Mortgage Loan Processor Report"
  • Compliance with all applicable Telhio policies and procedures (internal controls) and Federal, State and Local regulations applicable

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 Years of Mortgage Processing Experience
  • Knowledge of Encompass mortgage system
  • Knowledge of AUS (Automated Underwriting System)
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Products & Services
  • Knowledge of Process Procedures
  • Must be able to communicate effective and correctly, and to present a positive and professional image, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines regularly.
  • Must be organize and prioritize work assignments with minimal supervision.
