Job description

Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is currently seeking a Cardiac Rehab, Registered Nurse (RN), Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Exercise Physiologist (EP) to join our friendly, hard-working team.

  • Cardiovascular Department, Cardiac Rehab
  • Full Time, Days, 4 days per week, 9 hour days
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Additional pay for BSN.
  • Must have ACLS, Experience with rehab a plus.

Who We Are

HVCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a full-service Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Surgical Services, as well as many Outpatient Clinics and Services, and a Rural Health Clinic providing Family and Pediatric care services. In the fall of 2023, we partnered with the Logan-Hocking School District, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Hopewell Health and others to build and open the Chieftain School Based Health Clinic to provider greater care to the students in our community. We have over 350 employees who serve the residents and visitors of rural Logan, Ohio. We are nestled in the heart of the beautiful Hocking Hills Region in southeastern Ohio. We are affiliated with OSU Wexner Medical Center and part of the Ohio State Health Network.

Our Desired Candidate Will Have

  • One year of cardiac rehab experience preferred.
  • CPR - approved by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS - approved by the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledgeable of Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software, and Word processing software.
  • Knowledge of a variety of age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

In This Role

You will deliver care to the acutely ill patient through nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interact with patients, their support team, and other health team members while maintaining duties of professional nursing. You will also perform event monitor applications, assist nuclear medicine/respiratory therapist during cardiac stress tests, conduct permanent pacemaker checks, and other duties assigned.
