Superintendent - Columbus, OH

$90,000 - $129,000 + Bonus | Full Benefits | High-Impact New Installation Projects

Are you a construction professional ready to take the next step in your career?

Our client, a leader in the elevator industry, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support new installation projects across the Columbus market. This role involves overseeing jobsite activity, schedules, materials, subcontractors, field teams, and customer communication to help keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan & Prioritize Work: Lead elevator new installation activities through manpower planning, scheduling, field operations management, and project management tools.
  • Maintain Field Presence: Conduct regular crew visits and first-day site reviews to monitor safety, jobsite progress, customer satisfaction, and follow-up needs.
  • Manage Materials & Resources: Determine and coordinate materials, tools, subcontracting needs, and other resources to support timely project completion.
  • Oversee Subcontractors: Manage subcontractor schedules, quality, and performance on turn-key projects to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
  • Collaborate & Build Relationships: Work closely with internal teams, owners, general contractors, consultants, and architects to support smooth project execution and repeat business.
  • Monitor Performance & Resolve Issues: Review project performance, identify risks or fade issues, stay current on elevator code requirements, and help resolve field, operational, or union-related challenges.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Construction Experience: 1+ years in commercial construction, field operations, project coordination, assistant project management, assistant superintendent work, or a related environment.
  • Field Operations: Comfort working around active jobsites, field teams, schedules, safety, materials, and project priorities.
  • Construction Processes: Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, project schedules, takeoffs, safety documentation, or related construction workflows.
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, diagrams, or other technical documents.
  • Strong Communication: Strong organization, follow-through, problem-solving skills, and ability to work across field teams, customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Growth Mindset: Hands-on, self-motivated, and willing to learn a specialized trade while taking on more ownership in the field.
