Job Description
Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology
Schedule
Primary operating hours 10:30 AM-7:00 PM, Monday-Friday. Expected weekly hours: 40 (guaranteed). On-call: No. Weekends: No. First week onboarding: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
Assignment Details
Unit type: Radiation Oncology. Patient age groups include Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics. Required case types/special procedures: Head & Neck (H&N) and CNS (brain/spinal cord).
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required.
  • Ohio state license (Radiation Therapy) required.
  • ARRT (Radiation Therapy Technology) certification required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • Competency on Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon is strongly preferred.
  • ARIA v15 charting/treatment planning experience required.
  • Vision RT / OSMS experience preferred.
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only). COVID-19 vaccine not required.
Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during treatment.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of treatments and patient progress.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families about radiation therapy procedures.

Compliance / Notes
All materials must be completed by the Tuesday prior to start. Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting ASAP after contract signing. RTO documentation required with submission. Parking details will be provided upon acceptance.
