Title
Radiation Therapist - Outpatient
Schedule
Shift: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday (8.5 hours/day)
10-hour shifts may be required during holiday weeks to guarantee 40 hours.
Assignment Details
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected weekly hours: 40
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in radiation therapy
- Required: ARRT (Radiation Therapy)
- Ohio state license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with Varian TrueBeam
- Familiarity with imaging systems: Varian ARIA v15 (required), Vision RT (preferred, not required)
- CT simulation experience
- Knowledge of image-guided radiation therapy (CBCT / kV/mV)
- Familiarity with IMRT/VMAT and stereotactic techniques (SBRT/SRS)
- Charting system experience: Epic (required) and ARIA for treatment records
Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer radiation treatments to patients according to prescribed treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and support throughout the treatment process.
- Monitor patients for side effects and respond to their needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation.
Compliance / Notes
- Dress code: Scrubs (black pants, any top)
- Fingerprinting required by a strict compliance deadline
- Two professional references required (at least one must be a manager/supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
