About the Position

Allied Resources Technical Consultants (ARTC), an Allied Resources Group (ARG) company, is seeking a Project Director to lead large, complex Life Sciences EPC and Design‑Build programs in the Columbus, Ohio market and surrounding areas. This is a senior leadership role responsible for full lifecycle delivery of high‑value projects, serving as the primary client executive interface and internal project authority.

The Project Director operates with substantial autonomy, providing strategic oversight across design, permitting, procurement, and construction. This role requires strong executive presence, technical breadth, and the ability to align multidisciplinary teams to deliver predictable outcomes while fostering long‑term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive‑level leadership for integrated EPC and Design‑Build projects, overseeing delivery from early planning and permitting through construction completion and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary project executive and client representative, regularly engaging with senior client leadership and internal executives.
  • Establish and drive project execution strategies, governance, and delivery plans to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives.
  • Lead and integrate cross‑functional teams including engineering, procurement, estimating, quality, safety, and scheduling to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Oversee financial performance, forecasting, and risk management for major capital projects.
  • Champion a strong safety culture, quality standards, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain long‑term client partnerships by delivering a consistently high‑quality client experience that supports repeat business.
  • Mentor and develop project leadership staff while setting performance expectations and accountability across teams and partners.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in the engineering and construction industry, including leadership of large‑scale, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated success in a Project Director, Project Executive, or senior project leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of integrated project delivery, including engineering, procurement, and construction execution.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage senior‑level client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering EPC or Design‑Build projects in industrial or life sciences sectors.
  • Broad technical knowledge across core engineering disciplines and construction methodologies.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, AECPMA, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Track record of driving repeat business through exceptional project and client performance.
