Job description

Warehouse Associate

While onsite, you will be partnered with an FTE due to security protocols; building is secured. That person will be taking boxes off the end of a conveyor belt and placing them on the appropriate pallet. They will shrink rap the pallet of boxes and use a pallet jack to place them on a semi- trailer if there is a trailer to load.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Moving pallets around on the enclosed dock
  • Going onto truck with PJ, to pull materials, stage the skids for receiving
  • Once product is received, contingent worker will be advised where to place within the warehouse
  • Handling a box cutter, breaking down packaging materials and recycling
  • QC packages as they come down to ensure the shipping label is placed

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Good organizational and communication skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to operate in a production-driven environment and perform at a level that is 95% or greater of engineered standards.
  • Physical activity requiring reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking and hearing.
  • Ability to lift up to 10-25 lbs.
  • Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Associate is required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile).
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise.
