Job Summary
Join our dynamic pediatric dental team as a Pediatric Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will help create a positive, comfortable environment for our young patients. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education tailored specifically for children. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each visit promotes healthy smiles and fosters trust with our young patients and their families. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in pediatric oral health while working alongside a compassionate, dedicated team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, SDF and sealants for pediatric patients with enthusiasm and precision.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
  • Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices, emphasizing preventive care tailored for pediatrics.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) in EagleSoft.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with pediatric-specific training or experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in dental office settings, especially in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments.
