Job description

Job Type
Full-time, Part-time
Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly versatile developer to support a diverse portfolio of technical responsibilities spanning application/API development, database development, DevOps, and business analysis. This is a hybrid, multi-hat role suited to someone who is not only technically deep in specific areas but also demonstrably effective at using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate and improve the quality of solution development across the stack. This position does require strong SQL coding skills and a solid grasp of database development best practices (schema design, indexing, query optimization, normalization).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role blends hands-on development, DevOps, and business analysis, with the majority of time dedicated to building and maintaining applications and integrations where the candidate should bring solid, proven experience. A meaningful part of the role also involves services and API development delivering resilient backend services and clean, secure, well-documented APIs. Database development responsibilities are lighter in scope and call for solid SQL coding skills and a good working knowledge of database best practices (schema design, indexing, normalization), rather than deep specialization. On the DevOps side, the candidate will support application monitoring at a working-knowledge level and application deployment managing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring smooth, low-risk releases. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of business analysis with the ability to gather and translate business requirements, liaising between technical and business stakeholders, and supporting prioritization. Across every one of these areas, the candidate should be able to demonstrate genuine, hands-on proficiency using AI-assisted development tools to design, build, debug, and optimize solutions effectively.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated professional experience across most or all of the skill areas listed above
  • Proven, demonstrable proficiency in AI-assisted software development - candidates must be able to show specific examples (code samples, case studies, or a portfolio) of using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to design, build, debug, or optimize solutions
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for the Business Analysis component
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft/Azure or AWS DevOps certifications)
  • Experience mentoring or supporting less senior developers on lower-proficiency tasks (e.g., Application Monitoring)
