Job description

Compensation Type: Hourly
Compensation: $17.50
FWS Micro Internships are short-term, project-based work assignment completed by a Federal Work Study student with defined deliverables and learning outcomes. These projects are 10 - 40 hours total and are not on-going, operational roles. Selected students will deliver specific outcomes, build professional skills, and support departmental needs in a short-term capacity.
The Conference & Event Services department is looking for student support with event projects for July - early August.
Complete a short-term campus summer project and earn $17.50 / hour!

Project Summary
Support the planning and execution of upcoming events by assisting with logistics, coordination, and event-day operations.

Minimum/General Qualifications:
This position requires applicants to:
  • Have an Accepted Federal Work Study award as part of their 2025-26 Financial Aid award with Columbus State. View your Financial Aid in CougarWeb Self-Service.
  • Be enrolled in SIX or more credit hours in a degree or certificate program.
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.
  • Have a high school diploma or a certificate of attendance from an accredited secondary school or a certificate of high school equivalence and be exempt from Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4109.
  • Have reliable transportation or other means of getting to work regularly.

Schedule:
TBD by the needs of department and student schedule between office hours of Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Maximum 20 hours per week. Project timeframe is 20-40 hours.
