Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process.
- Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge.
- Administer medications and perform treatments accurately; implement physician orders as written; document the nursing process clearly.
- Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status; collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available; report malfunctions to the proper department.
- Support and supervise co-workers as appropriate; delegate tasks according to role and patient needs.
Requirements
- Valid, active RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Current CPR certification.
- Education: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in an ER environment within a hospital setting.
