MINUTEMEN STAFFING IS LOOKING INSPECTOR IN THE WEST JEFFERSON AREA.

$15 MONDAY-FRIDAY


Automotive Parts Inspector – Job Description

Responsible for inspecting automotive parts and components to ensure they meet quality, safety, and production standards.

Key duties:

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished automotive parts for defects.
  • Check parts for proper dimensions, fit, finish, and workmanship.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment.
  • Identify damaged, defective, or incorrectly manufactured parts.
  • Record inspection results and maintain quality-control documentation.
  • Follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
  • Separate and label defective parts for rework or rejection.
  • Communicate quality issues to supervisors and production personnel.
  • Perform visual inspections and, when required, functional tests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.

Typical requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts and manufacturing processes.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move parts as required.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, or quality-control experience is often preferred.
