Job description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administers employee benefits program including medical, dental, vision, flexible
    spending account, 401k, and life insurance plans and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Investigates employee relations matters and provides recommendations for appropriate
    action, seeking legal guidance when appropriate.
  • Manage vendor relationship to ensure benefit plans are functioning effectively. Performs
    benefit audits and billing reconciliation to ensure vendors are executing plan policies and
    procedures appropriately.
  • Assists the HR Director with departmental human capital management programs and
    initiatives.
  • Maintains HRIS system and codes, documenting process and results.
  • Interact with benefits consultant or broker and ownership leaders regarding designs.
  • Coordinate specifications for new plans and recommend modifications to existing plans
    to maintain cost controls and company's competitive position in the labor market.
  • Delivers continuing education content on relevant HR matters, open enrollment and any
    new benefits processes/functionality.
  • Stay current on Affordable Care Act and federal/state regulations, advising brand on
    employer procedures and communicating to the workforce on employee requirements.
  • Recommends system enhancements and procedural changes to remain compliant with
  • Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Participates on committees and special projects and explores opportunities for self and
    department to add value to the brand.
  • Develop strategies to promote a healthy workforce including regular wellness
    communications and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. in business, hospitality management, HR management or equivalent work
  • experience.
  • PHR, SPHR or other professional certification a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in human resources generalist or management preferred.
  • Proven outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Approximately 25 -30% overnight may be required
