Job description

Optometric Technician – Full-Time

Location: In Person

We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and patient-focused Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the doctor by performing clinical testing and ensuring an exceptional patient experience from check-in through exam completion. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient patient flow and delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical history and performing preliminary testing

  • Assist the doctor during patient exams as needed

  • Clean, sanitize, and restock exam rooms between patients

  • Maintain accurate documentation in patient records

  • Support front office operations when needed (filing, faxing, scanning, transcribing, etc.)

  • Provide outstanding customer service and patient support

  • Ensure compliance with office procedures and healthcare standards

Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience in an optometric or medical office preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)

  • Comfortable using office equipment and electronic medical records systems

  • Professional demeanor and appearance

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented

  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to patient care
