Illuminate USA, located in the heart of Central Ohio, is transforming solar panel manufacturing from our cutting-edge facility in Pataskala. As a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, we've rapidly grown to over 1,600 associates and are now fully operational in our 1.1 million-square-foot factory. Our vision is to establish one of the largest solar panel manufacturing operations in the Western Hemisphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a working supervisor, inspecting products and processes directly with the team and assisting production with quality-related issues.

  • Ensure all testing procedures are conducted properly, with accurate documentation, and collaborate with the internal quality department to uphold quality standards.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and counseling to associates to foster skill development and improve team performance.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions to address quality issues.

  • Oversee inspectors and engineers, managing their development, training, and daily activities, while preparing reports on quality performance and key metrics.

  • Assist the production team in addressing and resolving quality-related issues to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in managing inspectors and engineers.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience in coaching and counseling associates to improve team dynamics and performance.
  • Able to work cross functional and under pressure and communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
  • Experience in Solar Industry is a plus.
  • Familiar with Control Plans, Process/Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P/DFMEA) and 8D methodology.
  • Experience in manufacturing operations and quality within the solar, optoelectronics, semiconductor or automotive industries.
  • Adept in root cause and technical analysis to identify product defects and drive escalation of issues to quality managers and other cross-functional groups such as Production, Equipment and Process Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and Excel.
  • Ambition, self-motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of production safety, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality control processes.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
