Individual contributor position responsible for supporting the package development process on a tactical level and through specialty projects; provide systems support, coordination and project management guidance over primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. This position will work in a collaborative environment with partners in Design, Merchandising, Operations, Quality, Safety and Regulatory, Strategic Sourcing, as well as key vendors. As a trusted partner to the business and the vendor network, this role is responsible for supporting and learning the package development process, including, but not limited to technical drawing, fit and function evaluation, prequalification and validation, tooling, testing procedures, and materials. This role also participates in supplier relations, by supporting investigative study of packaging options for active projects, and attending key business meetings and representing Bath & Body Works packaging through project execution through an engineering project management lens.
Responsibilities
Responsible for engineering support of the development and production of Bath & Body Works Home and Body Care products. Accountable for execution of daily operations and of category objectives and to learn the package development process to become subject-matter-expert in core category.
Responsibilities, under the direction of Manager:
Package Development/Execution
• Under the supervision of Manager, supports the packaging execution and development of assigned programs, including tactical tasks and system data entry
Commercialization/ Project Management
• End to end project management with multi-functional partners and strategic vendors
• Component development for new products and new designs
• Line trial support to ensure components meet filler and customer quality requirements
• Supports team with project management and information gathering
Systems/Procedures
• Set up article tool Bill of Materials (BOM's)
• Code Creation
• Test orders/Package Evaluation Requests
• Specifications for fill and assembly
• SOP Standards
• Component Sample Requests
Specialty Projects
• Strong relationship within Package Development team
• Collect information and samples for R&D and/or Packaging Test Lab
• Interaction with external component and contract fillers on a tactical level.
Talent Management
• Creation and execution of IDP/PPO/Mid-year/Performance review/OLR profile/Career Management Profile for self
• Complete onboarding activities and later assist in training peers
