CLASSIFIED POSITION: 10-month, 7.5-hour Administrative Assistant I , Logan-Hocking Middle School Student Services
SHIFT TIME: 6:45 A.M. - 2:45 P.M.(with - hr lunch)
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Must have passed the Administrative Assistant Test given by the District.
  2. An associate degree in office technology/management is preferred, but a high school education and training with experience will be considered.
  3. Proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet design, desktop publishing and database programs on a personal computer ( includes speed and accuracy).
  4. Ability to handle confidential material, discreetly, reliably, and loyalty.
  5. Excellent personal appearances and grooming.
  6. Strong organizational skills to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  7. Good communication skills, systematic and orderly - good planning, ability, tactful, courteous, prompt, and punctual.
  8. A customer service attitude with an ability to handle people in difficult situations. Skill in human relations - can work effectively and cooperatively with adults and students - diplomatic.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal or Assistant Principal
CONTRACT STATUS: 10-Month Contract
TIME SCHEDULE: 6:45 A.M. TO 2:45 P.M. (with 1/2 hour lunch)
GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
  1. Meet and direct visitors, the general public, and students to appropriate locations. Visitors need to sign in and receive a visitor's pass. Office receptionist for Student Services.
  2. Answer phones, direct calls, and/or take messages for staff and/or students.
  3. Complete assigned clerical work as needed by office staff.
  4. Assist with the preparation of local, state, and federal reports.
  5. Proficient with IC handling and the reports associated with each.
  6. Attend training and in-service as required.
  7. Operate all technology: copy machines, calculators, computers and printers, fax machines, and postage machines.
  8. Type, file, and copy materials as needed.
  9. Assist in typing correspondence and forms used in the office.
  10. Assist other Administrative Secretaries.
  11. Assist with monitoring Leadership and Work Study Students.
  12. Work with Team Chief to call the proper agencies if there is a medical emergency.
  13. Operate the door video and speaker system to safely allow visitors entry into the building.
  14. Operate the Marcs emergency radio system.
  15. Compile and organize all beginning of year student packets with forms and information for the building.

ATTENDANCE:
  1. Complete daily attendance in Infinite Campus for parent notification.
  2. Work with the Attendance Officer on all attendance procedures.
  3. Promote positive public relations.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

CLINIC DUTIES:
  1. Provide support in emergencies (i.e. pull charts, call 911, call team, call the parent, and help dispense supplies).
