Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract in Columbus, Ohio

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Columbus, Ohio.   • ACLS preferred
  • Epic experience required
  • Experience with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate-level patient care required
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, peripheral line care, nasal cannula use, non-invasive airway management, and rapid response/code team workflows
  • Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
  • Previous travel nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg Tele patients during night shifts
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes and dysrhythmias
  • Care for patients with musculoskeletal infections, orthopedic trauma, wounds, and implanted antibiotic spacers
  • Administer medications, perform assessments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams
  • Manage peripheral lines and support patients requiring oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management
  • Utilize Epic for timely and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with support teams including IV therapy, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
  • Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
  • Support specialized treatments such as wound vac and Veriflo therapy as appropriate
  • Maintain patient safety, infection prevention standards, and excellent communication with patients and care teams
