Intake Assessor RN - Behavioral Health - Night

Pay: $37-42/hr | Location: Dayton, OH | Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12s (7p-7a) | Every other weekend rotation

Be the first calm voice patients hear. Our Licensed Intake Assessor completes timely, traumainformed evaluations to guide the right level of care-right away -providing a calm, vigilant presence while others rest.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, suicide and violence risk screens (e.g., CSSRS), and ASAM when indicated.
  • Obtain collateral, verify benefits, and coordinate bed placement with nursing/medical leadership.
  • Consult with the oncall psychiatrist/NP; formulate provisional diagnoses and recommendations.
  • Document clearly in the EMR and communicate decisions to patients, families, and referral sources.
  • Ensure continuity of care overnight with vigilant observation and timely documentation.
  • Manage afterhours admissions and urgent needs; prepare a thorough handoff to the day team.

What We're Looking For

  • Active independent licensure (e.g., RN, Registered Nurse, or state equivalent).
  • 1+ years acute behavioral health or crisis evaluation experience.
  • Expertise in risk assessment, deescalation, and payer authorization processes.
