Job description

Core Skills: 

*         Truck & trailer maneuvering/driving

*         Power equipment (lawn mower, blower, weed eater, hedge trimmer)

*         Hand Tools (hand pruners, loppers)

*         Read/interpret work orders (know levels/standards of service)

*         Power Equipment/Hand Tool Care (basic maintenance, troubleshooting)

*         Plant identification (Proficient)

*         Communication

*         Leadership

*         Customer service

*         Technology (MS 365, LMN)

Responsibilities:

·         Manage loading/unloading of trucks &/or trailers including equipment and materials needed to complete job

·         Operate and supervise safe and proficient operation of power equipment

·         Supervise crew members ensuring safety, quality, and productivity

·         Inspect completed work to ensure quality and customer satisfaction

·         Conduct daily safety inspections of jobsite, equipment, and vehicle

·         Train crew members on proper and safe work methods

·         Assign jobsite tasks to crew members

·         Assist in jobsite duties including mowing, planting, edging, mulching, pruning, and moving material

·         Complete and submit all required paperwork including safety inspections and crew timesheet with accurate job codes

·         Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness for jobsite, company equipment and vehicle, and crew member uniforms

·         Provide daily status updates to Production Manager

·         Operation of a variety of landscape maintenance equipment such as: John Deere, Toro 48”,52” and 60” mowers, push mower, line trimmers, hedge trimmer, truck w/trailer, skid loader, backpack blower, bed edger, mulch mule

·         Coordinate with Mechanic to repair &/or maintain equipment, trucks, and trailers

Experience/Requirements:

*         High school diploma, GED or equivalent

*         3+ years of industry experience

*         2+ years of industry supervisor experience

*         Valid driver’s license with <2 points

*         Bilingual in Spanish (preferred

Physical Requirements:

*         Bending, sitting, standing, walking for up to 12 hours per shift during peak season

*         Working in all seasons and a variety of weather conditions

*         Navigating a variety of terrains

*         Lifting, pushing &/or pulling up to 50 pound
