Job description

- Use your passion and creativity to teach youth various musical instruments and vocal techniques
- Educate and instruct youth ages 8–18 in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment
- Develop music lesson plans and curriculum
- Lead rehearsals and coordinate musical performances
- Teach music theory concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, form, texture, and dynamics
- Foster creativity, confidence, teamwork, and self-expression through music
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Music preferred, or specialized music training
- Knowledge of various musical instruments including piano, percussion, vocals, guitar, and steel drums
- Strong understanding of music theory including rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, form, texture, and dynamics
- Experience teaching music, leading rehearsals, and working with youth required
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
