Job Description Summary:

The position provides process management leadership and training. He/ She supports the department in development and maintaining of processes and ensures effective communication of Leadership Model, scorecard and process management with team members or appropriate levels of staffing. This position understands and communicates Customer Service goals of the organization. He/ She provides process support for Departmental processes with measurement techniques to ensure program alignment with OhioHealth scorecard and values. In addition, he/she manages all daily activities of the department and supports development and deployment of throughput processes.
*Hours are Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-2:30am with rotating weekend on call.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Develops and manages processes while defining objectives, resource requirements and barriers within the scope of OhioHealth goals and management model. Monitors and drives results in areas of process management such as timelines, action plans and measurement results. Defines gaps and influences other hospital areas to understand and participate in process success.
Defines each process as to how it pertains to patient throughput while leading supervisory staff and holding them accountable.
Maintains diversity standards throughout department while leading and educating supervisory staff. Accountable to fair and equitable distribution of assignments, progressive rewards, progressive development and other functions pertaining to staff.
Performs functions required of the position including: hiring, coaching, educating and training all levels of staff while communicating with leadership staff opportunities for possible career path growth.
Reports on process progress to Director and other management (appropriate areas) while identifying need for adjustments based on measurement/performance of process. Influences all levels of organization to drive results, dissolve barriers and understand relationship between support departments and patient flow.
Maintains departments process flows, gap analysis sheets, and measurement records while communicating with all levels of organizational and departmental management as appropriate.
Ensures accountabilities for department in alignment with organization and educates staff on role in meeting with them.
Promotes, establishes, monitors and maintains staff while defining objectives, resource requirements and barriers with the scope of OhioHealth goals and management model.
Promotes and drives Customer Service initiative throughout the department and assists in training all levels of staff which influencing other areas throughout the organization to follow Best Practices.
Ensures staff awareness of Customer Service effects on patient throughput.
Supervises and evaluates work progress of employees while working with department/physicians to meet special needs. Maintains current computer systems to manage volume vs. staffing effectively while supporting the development of a program string to support patient discharge through triage.
As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Bachelor's Degree (healthcare field preferred). In lieu of degree must have high school diploma or GED and four years environmental services experience with at least three years in a leadership role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
