Job description

Senior Project Manager (Electronic Security / Low Voltage Systems)

Location: Columbus, OH

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 + Benefits


Bright Minds is searching for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, and building automation projects in the Columbus market. This role will oversee technical system integration projects within commercial, industrial, and mission-critical environments while serving as a key point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.


In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from award through completion, managing schedules, budgets, procurement, materials, subcontractors, and project documentation to ensure successful delivery. You'll coordinate closely with customers and project stakeholders while maintaining strong communication, high customer satisfaction, and positive project financial performance. You'll also manage change orders, monitor costs, establish project milestones, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.


Requirements for the Project Manager (Electronic Security / Fire Alarm / Building Automation):

  • 5–7+ years of project management experience
  • Experience managing projects in one or more of the following environments:


  1. Electronic Security Systems
  2. Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems
  3. Building Automation Systems (BAS)


  • Strong financial acumen, including cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and project financial management
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and project documentation
  • Experience managing customer relationships and serving as the primary point of contact throughout project execution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive projects in fast-paced technical environments
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record


Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree, trade school education, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience
  • Industry experience in electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other industry certifications
  • Experience leading project teams and coordinating subcontractors
