CIVIL ENGINEER, EI – INDUSTRIAL AND LOGISTICS

EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer (EI) to join our Industrial and Logistics team located in Columbus, OH.

Our EIs work under the guidance of experienced Engineers and Project Managers who provide mentorship and support throughout your career development. Additionally, EMH&T offers a dedicated support team to train you on our drafting and design standards, ensuring you are well-prepared for success in this role.

The Industrial & Logistics team supports rail clients, trucking facilities, warehouses, intermodal facilities, data centers, car dealerships, medical campuses, senior living facilities, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plan drawings and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D for projects such as sanitary systems, stormwater management, roadway design.
  • Produce base maps for plan development, generate 3D surface models, corridors, profiles, and cross-sections, as well as perform drafting tasks.

Skills:

  • Ability to effectively apply technical training and problem-solving skills to current assignments.
  • A self-starter that demonstrates dependability and consistent work effort.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly.
  • Ability to work independently but also enjoys collaborating with team members in a supportive and cooperative environment.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with an eye for detail.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 0 - 4 years experience.
  • Work experience, including internships or co-op experiences in civil, construction, or a related area and exposure to engineering consulting firm environment, preferred.
