Title: Ophthalmic Scribe

Location: Columbus, OH - this position is fully on-site

Hours:
  • Full Time
  • Our offices are open Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm.
    • Your shift will fall within those hours.
    • You may need to work a little earlier/later as needed.

Retina Vitreous Associates is looking for a Transcriptionist/Scribe to join our growing team! The Transcription team members at Retina Vitreous Associates are responsible and accountable for efficiently and accurately completing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for all exams, testing interpretations, referrals, notes, etc. The Transcription team members work effectively with Physicians and other team members to ensure quality documentation in the patients' health records.
Responsibilities:
  • Efficient and accurate data entry in the EHR system based on Physician dictation.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to recognize inconsistencies and missing necessary data.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effectively communicate with the Physicians, Executive Director, and other team members.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Favorable result on background check required
  • Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
  • Medical scribe/transcription experience preferred, but not required
  • Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good organization skills
