Job description

Electrical Simulation Design Engineer

Location: Raymond, OH (ONSITE)

Full Time Employment

Responsibilities

·       Develop models of vehicle components (e.g. lights, ECUs, actuators, motors, switches) for application to electrical network simulation performed by the lead simulation engineer.

·       Models shall be in FMI/FMU format preferably or in tool-native formats where necessary.

·       Use industry tools such as Ansys Twinbuilder, Matlab Simulink, and NGspice for modelling in support of simulation for static and dynamic analysis of vehicle systems including power systems and signalling.

Required Skills & Experience:

·       Strong experience in electrical system modeling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys Twin Builder, and/or NGspice.

·       Hands-on experience developing component models for ECUs, actuators, motors, switches, lighting systems, and vehicle electrical networks.

·       Experience creating and integrating models in FMI/FMU formats for system-level simulation and analysis.

·       Solid understanding of automotive electrical architecture, power distribution systems, and signaling networks.

·       Knowledge of static and dynamic system analysis, circuit simulation, and model-based design methodologies.

·       Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with prior experience in automotive, EV, or embedded systems environments preferred.

Preferred:

·       Exposure to CAN/LIN communication networks, HIL/SIL testing, and vehicle-level simulation environments.

·       Experience supporting digital twin, system validation, or model-based systems engineering (MBSE) initiatives.
