Job description

We are looking for a Field Layout Engineer / Surveyor with at least five years of experience performing field layout and surveying on large commercial, industrial, or concrete construction projects.


Job Description:

  • Establish and maintain permanent control points for line and grade work throughout construction projects.
  • Operate surveying instruments including Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and/or Theodolite equipment.
  • Use data surveying software and standard office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Review architectural and structural drawings to verify dimensions and identify discrepancies before work begins.
  • Coordinate with project leadership to support proper scheduling and sequencing of layout activities.
  • Deliver accurate, timely layout information to the broader project team to support smooth field execution.
  • Requires a solid grasp of Coordinate Geometry, Geometric Theory, and Geometric Functions for establishing survey and layout points.
  • At least five years of field engineering, surveying, and layout experience on large-scale commercial, general contractor, or concrete contractor projects.
  • Some hands-on experience with self-perform concrete work is necessary.
  • Background spanning commercial and industrial project types, with familiarity with construction principles and practices on sizable projects.
