Rogue Fitness

Job description

Job Description:
Overview
Rogue Fitness is the leading manufacturer of strength and conditioning equipment in the world - barbells, power racks, sleds, and the equipment behind the CrossFit Games, Xenom Decathlon of Fitness, the Arnold Strongman Classic, and more. We build it in-house, at scale, in Columbus, Ohio.
We are hiring a Manager of Global Sourcing & Supplier Strategy to own the strategy and execution behind where Rogue sources every product component, globally - identifying suppliers, building cost models to drive negotiation, and launching first production. This is not a transactional buying role. You will be the person who decides where a new product's supply chain should live, builds the commercial case for it, and negotiates the terms.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial strategy. It pairs technical fluency (engineering) with commercial and analytical training (MBA), and spans both domestic and international supplier markets. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Procurement, and report directly to the Director of Financial Engineering.
This role is onsite at the Rogue campus in Columbus, OH. Remote work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers across domestic and international markets for assigned commodities (steel, hardware, packaging, subassemblies, etc.)
  • Manage international sourcing considerations including landed cost analysis, import duties and tariff exposure, lead time variability, and logistics complexity for globally sourced components
  • Issue and manage RFQs; analyze competing bids and lead negotiations to establish pricing, terms, and contractual foundations
  • Build should-cost models to support data-driven negotiations and validate supplier pricing against market benchmarks
  • Build a detailed working knowledge of Rogue's internal manufacturing processes and products, so sourcing decisions account for real production constraints, not just unit cost
  • Lead sourcing strategy for new product introductions end-to-end, from concept through first production run
  • Own end-to-end supplier and product qualification documentation (e.g., approved vendor records, negotiated rates, quality history, and capability assessments)
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement to align on handoff standards and ensure qualified suppliers integrate smoothly into steady-state purchasing operations

Required Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • MBA required
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to both domestic and international supply bases
  • Familiarity with international sourcing considerations including landed cost modeling, tariff and duty structures, import compliance, and cross-border logistics
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for cost modeling and data analysis; working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and evaluate supplier relationships with a critical, structured approach
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • APICS, CSCP, or CPIM certification a plus

By applying to Rogue, regardless of the platform you choose to use, you are agreeing to Rogue's preferred methods of communication (i.e. text message). Submitting an application, through whatever online forum is ultimately used, constitutes a knowing and voluntary agreement to send and receive text messages during the recruitment process.
