Position Overview

The Personal Trainer plays a vital role in supporting The Medallion Club experience by providing individualized, results‑driven fitness training in a polished, member‑focused environment. This position is ideal for a motivated, service‑driven fitness professional who is passionate about helping members achieve their health and wellness goals. The trainer will deliver safe, effective, and engaging one‑on‑one and small‑group sessions while upholding the club’s high standards of hospitality and excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized fitness training sessions tailored to each member’s goals, abilities, and preferences.
  • Conduct fitness assessments, develop customized training plans, and track member progress.
  • Create a welcoming, supportive environment that encourages member engagement and long‑term success.
  • Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure safe, effective movement patterns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment before and after sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with the Fitness Manager regarding scheduling, member needs, and program development.
  • Promote club fitness programs, special events, and wellness initiatives.
  • Support group fitness classes or workshops as needed.
  • Uphold club standards of hospitality, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service, teamwork, and excellence in every member interaction.

Qualifications

  • Nationally recognized Personal Training certification required (ACE, NASM, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent).
  • CPR/AED certification required.
  • Previous experience as a personal trainer preferred; experience in a private club or upscale fitness environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire, and support members of all fitness levels.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent, high‑quality service.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate exercises safely and effectively.
  • Ability to lift, move, and set up fitness equipment as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and instruct for extended periods.
