Join a team where your work helps shape how we acquire and retain customers, and where you can grow your career alongside the impact you create.

As a Vice President, Marketing Analytics Data Scientist at JPMorganChase within Consumer and Community Banking Data and Analytics, you will lead analytics that quantify marketing effectiveness, optimize multimillion-dollar investment decisions, and influence campaign strategy through rigorous statistical evaluation. You will partner closely with marketing, strategy, and finance stakeholders to translate results into clear recommendations that improve customer and business outcomes.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead matched market and geographic A/B tests by designing the testing approach, running analyses, and delivering recommendations on marketing effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain customer lifetime value and discounted cash flow (DCF) frameworks to evaluate different customer acquisition segment types
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations and decision-ready narratives
  • Partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analyses for marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate across marketing analytics, test design, strategy, and finance teams while championing an inclusive, high-performing culture
  • Present results, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leaders with clarity and precision
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists, promoting rigor, high standards, and continuous learning
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Formal training or certification on data science concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience applying statistical methods to real-world business problems
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience with SQL and at least one analytical programming language (Python or R)
  • Experience supporting finance workstreams, including budgeting, forecasting, and return on investment and cost-benefit evaluation
  • Hands‑on experience with A/B testing and incrementality testing, including experimental design, statistical significance evaluation, and translating results into business recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analysis and code development
  • Experience with data visualization for analysis and executive-level presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings concisely to senior stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience in marketing analytics, ideally within consumer banking, deposits, or financial services
  • Proficiency with Tableau or comparable business intelligence and visualization platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently on unstructured problems while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and translate business goals into analytical frameworks
