Mechanical Engineering Intern - Co-Op Fall 2026
Location: Westerville, Ohio (in-person)
Duration: August - December 2026 (Full-Time)


Working on the Materials Characterization Systems (MCS) team:

As a Mechanical Engineering Intern on our MCS team, you'll be paired with an experienced mentor and immersed in both office and lab environments. Your mission? Support new product development and sustaining engineering efforts for advanced technologies that characterize the physical properties of early-stage electronic and magnetic materials.

What You'll Do
You'll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Mechanical Design: Create and refine mechanical components using SolidWorks.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Use tools like SolidWorks, ANSYS, and MATLAB to simulate and optimize designs.
  • Engineering Calculations: Perform mathematical analyses to support design decisions.
  • Experimental Testing: Conduct hands-on testing and analysis of new designs in lab settings.


Requirements

 What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks proficiency preferred).
  • Experience with Python preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
