Job description

Job Title: IT Consultant 3 (ITC 3)

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)
Visa: Any Visa except CPT, TN, GC (Passport number required to fetch I-94)

Interview Type: Webcam Interview (Microsoft Teams)Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of IT project consulting experience in Public Health Management Information Systems.

  • 6+ years experience developing Business Requirements for IT systems.

  • 6+ years of IT project leadership experience.

  • 6+ years of vendor management experience.

  • Proven experience developing RFPs for ODH, including all required RFP sections.

  • Experience with RFP oversight at ODH / OPDH.

  • Strong knowledge of ODH departments and ability to collect and document requirements from affected users.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist ODH Immunization Program and ODH IT in drafting and managing RFPs in accordance with State of Ohio guidelines for vendor selection.

  • Lead and support requirements gathering efforts with internal stakeholders and affected ODH departments.

  • Provide technical leadership in documenting system needs, including system architecture and platform migration requirements.

  • Advise project teams on process improvements, quality standards, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with defined processes, procedures, and quality standards.

  • Conduct detailed reviews of project deliverables, interim and final work products.

  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, including defining metrics, applying industry best practices, and improving QA processes.

  • Advise on vendor management implications post-contract award.

  • Support evaluation processes, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Data Recovery Plans, and vendor performance criteria.

  • Track action items, risks, defects, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Mentor and share knowledge with State of Ohio staff.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure project quality goals and timelines are met.
