💲$2,125 Weekly Gross Pay

Join one of Ohio’s premier academic medical centers as a Travel ICU Registered Nurse! We're seeking experienced ICU nurses who are flexible, confident in high-acuity settings, and comfortable floating across multiple critical care units.

Position Details

  • Position: Registered Nurse (ICU Float Pool)
  • Location: Columbus, OH
  • Facility: Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
  • Start Date: September 8, 2026
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Nights | 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Schedule: 36 hours/week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Active RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Critical Care Experience
Candidates must be comfortable floating to:

  • Medical ICU (MICU)
  • Surgical ICU (SICU)
  • Neuro ICU (NCCU)
  • CVICU
  • Cardiology/Diagnostics ICU

Experience with:

  • Ventilator management
  • IV starts
  • Telemetry
  • Cardiac drips & vasoactive drips
  • Central lines & PICC lines
  • Ventilated patients
  • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
  • EVDs
  • Stroke patients
  • Renal failure
  • Emergency response

Assignment Highlights

  • Work at a nationally recognized academic medical center
  • Float within equivalent or lower-acuity ICU units
  • Transplant center (Kidney, Liver, Lung & Heart)
  • Adult patient population
  • 36-hour orientation
  • COVID vaccine not required
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)

  • Contract must extend through January 2, 2027
  • NIHSS and EPIC experience are required
  • Travelers must be comfortable floating based on staffing needs
