Join our team as an HVAC Operations Manager where you will oversee and lead a team of HVAC installers. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a strong background in HVAC supervision to ensure the efficient operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Summary:

The HVAC Operations Manager will oversee the service, installation, and sales teams within the company, ensuring effective management and development of staff while maximizing profits and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role involves a combination of leadership, operational oversight, and strategic planning to achieve departmental goals and enhance service delivery.

Duties:

  1. Manage, develop and coordinate a team in maintaining, repairing, and installing HVAC systems
  2. Monitor the scheduling of technicians, evaluate workload, direct work assignments and adapt work priorities to increase efficiency and productivity and maximize profits.
  3. Lead by example through the prioritization of working safely.Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
  4. Oversee the design and implementation of HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, and Ammonia refrigeration systems
  5. Collaborate with the team to build and install HVAC components accurately
  6. Initiate and maintain client liaison to resolve issues and ensure client satisfaction
  7. Oversee the process of ordering and receiving materials and equipment for scheduled jobs
  8. Daily engagement in the established work order process to ensure work order accuracy and completeness
  9. Prepare and present quotes for add-on/replacement of equipment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
  • 8-10 years experience in HVAC operations
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Supervisor or similar leadership role in the HVAC industry
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, and Ammonia refrigeration
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings for system installations
  • Proven success managing skilled trade personnel such as HVAC technicians
  • Education or hands-on experience in any or all of the following: electrical, water and steam mechanical systems, HVAC, chillers, boilers, building controls systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver license and background check required
  • Previous experience as a commercial HVAC service technician preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Journeyman HVAC (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Columbus, OH: Relocate before starting work (Required)

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
  • Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.
  • Frequently reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
