Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a Software Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of an enterprise tax system. The consultant will be responsible for implementing tax logic, maintaining regulatory compliance, ensuring data security, and collaborating with tax and finance subject matter experts to deliver accurate, reliable, and secure tax processing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement Tax Logic: Design, code, and test complex algorithms and formulas that automate tax calculations, deductions, and credits, ensuring they accurately reflect current tax regulations.
• Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and implement updates to system code and databases in response to new tax laws, rate changes, and mandated electronic filing form revisions.
• Ensure Data Security: Build and maintain applications with rigorous security controls, encryption, and data validation to protect sensitive financial and tax information.
• Collaborate with Tax Experts: Work closely with Tax Accountants and Finance professionals to gather detailed requirements, validate software results, and translate tax legislation into technical specifications.
• Make sound recommendations on functional and technical improvements to the product.
• Analyze the functional and technical impact of product planning decisions.
• Develop appropriate functional and usability standards for products.
• Track and document expected volume and type of product usage.
• Participate in product design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional and technical requirements.
• Perform impact analysis on production fixes and enhancements to establish priorities.
• Provide basic product support and accurate responses to product-related questions in a timely manner.
• Provide effective on-site product support as needed.
• Accurately set severity levels of identified defects.
• Provide input to training and documentation materials regarding technical and functional design changes.
• Document all work for future reference.

Requirements:

• Experience with C# required.
• Experience with Visual Studio required.
• Experience with SQL Database development and support required.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software applications required.
• Experience analyzing business and technical requirements required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, tax professionals, and technical teams required.
• Experience supporting production applications and resolving defects required.
• Experience with the GenTax solution highly desired.
