Job Description
The Regional Head of Fulfillment Solution (DFS) Americas leads the regional agenda for DHL Fulfillment Solutions across two core AGS offerings, acting as a critical driver to achieve the 2030 growth ambition. The role is accountable for turning the global strategy into regional execution, strengthening operational excellence, and ensuring that DFS solutions are deployed in a scalable and repeatable way across all Americas markets.
The primary purpose is to continuously enhance the solution set and to provide strategic guidance to all Americas countries in how they promote, design, implement, and deploy eCommerce and Returns solutions. This includes shaping key customer interactions and ensuring that solutions address local market requirements while remaining tightly aligned with the global DFS framework - and can be shared and scaled globally.
Responsibilities
  • Defines and executes the DFS development roadmap in collaboration with other regional DFS leads.
  • Decides on development priorities based on regional requirements and captures the change request to modules (driven by customer request in their respective countries and regions).
  • Executes and leads solution enhancements with impact on running and new customer opportunities in Americas.
  • Maintains close relationships with Business Development, Marketing, Commercial Development and IT on regional & country level.
  • Oversees the adaptation of DFS to Americas conditions and regulations and its enhancements in terms of usability and automation.
  • Pro-actively advises and guides 'the pack of wolves (BD, SD, IT, ..)' on application of the right solution for all key opportunities in the region.
  • Sets direction to evaluate business risk and translates bid strategy and customer requirements into actionable instructions, especially for large regional tenders with large volume and/ or complexity and of highly strategic nature.
  • Monitors market and competitors to understand how to improve the DFS service offering.
  • Acts as 'deal closer' for large opportunities by creating trust and confidence with customers through extensive cross-functional know-how and experience.
  • Proactively prioritizes and guides necessary IT development efforts in collaboration with eCommerce IT Lead.
  • Liaises with business development teams to meet local expectations, take decisions on exceptions, monitor bidding pipeline, understand sales success and performance of DFS.
  • Closes skill gaps and drive skill development for business development community through training and support during the pursuit of opportunities.
  • Supports development and application of ready-to-use IT templates across range of different IT systems, such as WMS, TMS, Carrier Management Systems, Returns.
  • Systematically reviews performance and identifies improvement potential in close exchange with local IT & operations communities.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, required.
  • Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, required.
  • Additional language proficiency, preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of in-depth knowledge of eCommerce or returns operations, required.
  • Demonstrable continuous professional development, required.
  • Strong internal drive and resilience, required.
  • Excellent communication skills (moderating between different functions and levels to achieve the best outcome for DFS), required.
