Job Description

The Senior Director Global Account Management is responsible for driving growth, retention, and customer satisfaction across a portfolio of DHL Supply Chain's most strategic global customers. Acting as the senior commercial lead, the role builds executive-level relationships, develops long-term account strategies, identifies new business opportunities, and orchestrates cross-functional teams across regions to deliver exceptional customer outcomes, profitable growth, and innovative supply chain solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Owns and develops relationships with strategic global customers, acting as the primary commercial contact.
  • Creates and executes long-term Global Account Development Plans and Joint Business Plans.
  • Drives business growth through new opportunities, RFQs, transformational projects, and upselling initiatives.
  • Protects and grows revenue, profitability, customer retention, and contract renewals.
  • Leads cross-functional global account teams, aligning operations, sales, solutions, and support functions.
  • Manages customer governance, including QBRs, executive reviews, escalation management, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Drives customer-centric innovation, continuous improvement, and best-practice sharing across regions.
  • Ensures global visibility of account performance through effective reporting, forecasting, CRM management, and stakeholder communication.


Required Education and Experience

  • Proven success managing large, complex global customer accounts within logistics, supply chain, or a related industry, required.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue growth, retention, and profitability improvements, required.
  • Extensive stakeholder management and influencing experience, including executive-level customer engagement, required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and virtual teams within a global matrix organization, required.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain operations, account management, and business development, required.
  • Highly developed relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and strategic planning skills, required.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, regions, and cultures in a global environment, required.
