Job description

Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking to pivot and expand your expertise into generator technology, or an experienced Generator Technician seeking a dynamic role? Join our team and be a crucial part of keeping essential power systems running.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a dedicated Generator Technician to perform essential inspection, repair, and comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on various power systems. Your work will primarily focus on Internal Combustion (IC) engines, diesel generators, and other IC gaseous engines. This is an excellent opportunity for an Diesel Mechanic who is eager to learn and receive training in generator systems.
What You'll Do
  • Execute maintenance, modifications, and repairs on IC engines and diesel/gaseous generators.
  • Ensure a safe worksite with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain accurate paperwork, logs, and records (including using programs like Excel and Word).
  • Provide leadership, teaching, and training on proper work and safety procedures to others.
  • Comply with all company motor vehicle policies and maintain applicable logbooks (e.g., FDOT).

What You'll Bring
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Certifications: Job-related certifications are required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
  • License: A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations.
  • Travel: Ability to travel extensively and work away from home (out of market) as required by job demands, potentially in extreme weather conditions.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
