Job description

Bruck Operator

Location: Johnstown, Ohio

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bruck Operator with strong mechanical aptitude and advanced machine setup skills. This is a skilled, non-entry-level role responsible for independently setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a Bruck high-speed perforating press.

Shifts Available
  • 2nd Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:45 PM - 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and perform changeovers on Bruck perforating press equipment.
  • Install and align tooling, dies, punches, and feed systems.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain quality, accuracy, and production speed.
  • Troubleshoot alignment, feed, tooling, burr, material, and dimensional issues.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, job orders, and production specifications.
  • Monitor tooling condition and perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
  • Work with maintenance on complex equipment issues.
  • Maintain production and quality records and meet established performance standards.
  • Follow all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3-5+ years of industrial press operation experience required.
  • Must have independent setup, changeover, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Bruck perforating press experience strongly preferred; stamping, punch press, or similar high-speed press experience considered.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to maintain tight tolerances and make adjustments independently.
  • Ability to safely work around high-speed machinery and meet physical demands, including lifting up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Manufacturing experience in a loud, dusty, temperature-variable environment required.
