Commercial Sheet Metal Fabricator

My client is based in - Columbus, OH Since 1988, and has specialized in the manufacturing of architectural metal roof and wall panel systems and fabricated architectural sheet metal for the construction industry. They are a privately held company, backed by more than 33 years of sheet metal fabrication experience, which helps us ensure the success of each project.

Job Description

My client is looking for sheet metal fabricators for our architectural sheet metal manufacturing facility. Candidate should have metal fabrication experience and experience operating various sizes of brakes, presses and shears and/or metal slitters/ cut to length lines.

Typical hours are M-F 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. Some overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Operate metal brake, press and sheer

Operate slitters and/or cut to length lines

Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.

Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including forklift, wood saws, machinery, etc.

Requirements

Good organizational and time management skills

Experience operating shear, brake, metal slitters is a plus

Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the organization

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)

Basic mathematics skills

Forklift experience a plus
