We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team developing advanced hardware solutions for rugged computing and mission-critical applications. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex electrical designs from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-performance products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical component-level design, schematic capture, and PCB layout activities
  • Design and develop analog, digital, and high-speed circuit solutions
  • Develop embedded hardware and software utilizing PIC or similar microcontrollers
  • Support system architecture and compute hardware integration efforts
  • Design and implement high-speed interconnects including PCIe, Ethernet, USB, I2C, UART, and related interfaces
  • Apply best practices for signal integrity, power sequencing, hot-plug functionality, and EMI/EMC performance
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, test plans, and design reports
  • Support prototype development, design verification testing DVT, and production testing
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensure designs meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and compliance objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional experience in electrical hardware design and development
  • Strong experience with schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Expertise in analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design
  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based designs
  • Working knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, USB, I2C, UART, and similar interfaces
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer or comparable ECAD tools
  • Experience developing BOMs, technical documentation, and engineering reports
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with FPGAs
  • Familiarity with Intel and AMD processor architectures
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and compliance testing
  • Experience supporting ruggedized, industrial, aerospace, or defense electronics
  • Experience with DVT, manufacturing validation, and production test development
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD requirements and regulatory compliance
