Job description

Center for Christian Virtue's Social Media Manager directs the daily digital strategy by combining journalistic storytelling with rapid-response multimedia production. This role is responsible for translating complex policy initiatives into digestible, viral content through Reels and YouTube Shorts, while managing the end-to-end lifecycle of all social campaigns. Additionally, this role utilizes AI-driven workflows to optimize content efficiency and audience scaling.
Reports to: Visual Communications Director
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Compensation: Full-time, Salaried/Exempt
Location: CCV Office in Columbus, Ohio, with Occasional Statewide Travel

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize a journalistic approach to identify stories and draft copy for blogs, social posts, and emails that are factual, persuasive, and timely.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools and workflows to streamline content production, improve efficiency, and enhance creative output.
  • Maintain a consistent CCV brand voice while engaging with our community and responding to current events in real-time.
  • Direct, shoot, and edit engaging Reels and YouTube Shorts that simplify complex policy issues into digestible, viral content.
  • Create compelling, on-brand social graphics and assets that stand out in a crowded feed.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of ongoing social media campaigns that align with CCV's work.
  • Scale our audience through organic and paid strategies, providing the leadership team with actionable data insights.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Requirements
Skills and Experience
  • 5+ years' experience and a proven track record in communications, marketing, or social media management for a mission-driven organization, brand, or political campaign.
  • Journalistic background preferred. Experience in newsgathering, editorial writing, or media relations is highly valued.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), Canva, and mobile editing tools like CapCut.
  • Proficient in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and comfortable leveraging generative AI for brainstorming, copy editing, and asset generation to maintain a high-frequency posting schedule.
  • Strategic thinking with a demonstrated ability to manage multi-week campaigns that move specific organizational performance measures forward.
  • Understanding of the policy issues impacting families, education, and faith communities in Ohio.

Character and Spiritual
  • Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
