Job description

Our client, a leading beauty and consumer products company, is seeking an Operations Planner to support supply chain planning, inventory management, vendor partnerships, and new product launches. This role works closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure on-time product delivery, maintain inventory health, and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of planning or supply chain experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Location: Columbus, OH (Remote w/ occasional onsite days)
  • Duration: August 17th, 2026 - Feb 5th, 2027
  • Pay Rate: $24.13/hour
  • Hours: 40 hours/week

Responsibilities:
  • Manage component inventory and finished goods purchasing across assigned product categories.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, production schedules, and inventory plans.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure on-time delivery, production readiness, and capacity planning.
  • Lead supply planning and forecasting discussions, including S&OP activities.
  • Communicate launch forecasts, receipt plans, and supply chain updates to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and execute purchases through SAP MRP.
  • Maintain accurate planning data, including BOM management and inventory records.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating cross-functional planning and execution.
  • Analyze inventory trends, identify risks, and provide solutions to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Drive initiatives that improve speed-to-market, supply chain agility, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and vendors to resolve production, inventory, and fulfillment challenges.
  • Provide regular reporting on order status, inventory performance, and key supply chain metrics.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, inventory management, or related operations roles.
  • Experience within manufacturing, consumer products, retail, or a similar industry preferred.
  • Strong purchase order management and vendor management experience.
  • Understanding of capacity planning, supply planning, and inventory control processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.
