We provide all forensic/industry-specific training!Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Responsible for the management of projects involving the evaluation and investigation of physical, chemical and biological environmental hazardsInvestigate complex engineering scenarios involving chemical releases and exposure events, environmental contamination, groundwater and soil contamination, industrial process failures, chemical manufacturing incidents, product failures involving chemicalsReview engineering drawings, operating procedures, testing, and maintenance recordsAnalyze environmental and scientific dataDevelop technically defensible scientific opinionsPrepare comprehensive engineering reportsProvide deposition and courtroom testimony as an expert witnessWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teamsUtilizes and applies knowledge of industry-specific standards and codesConducts unbiased investigations for various types of clientsProvides technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms both verbally and in writingAbility to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performanceRegular and predictable presence in the officePosition Requirements:Preferred M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering with related Bachelor's DegreeCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) a plus, not requiredMinimum of five years of post-academic related industry experienceExperience in reviewing and/or preparing SDS preferredExperience in identification and selection of appropriate PPE for job functions and/or tasksExperience in the oil and gas/chemical industry is preferredExcellent oral and writing skillsPublic speaking/Teaching experience a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to travel 30% of the timeAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to climb a ladder and maneuver in and on buildings and structuresAbility to drive in all conditionsAbility to fly on airplanesAbility to effectively communicate with clients and colleaguesAbility to visually inspect job sites and relevant artifactsAbility to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work siteAbility to learn a new industry and obtain required certificationsBenefits:Company-funded professional certifications, fees, licenses and duesCompany-funded professional developmentPaid vacation, sick days and holidaysParental leave policyPerformance bonus programExtensive forensic trainingTwo medical plansCompany-funded HSA Wellness Rewards program Dental & vision coverage401(k) with company matchCompany-paid STD, LTD and life insuranceMileage reimbursement for site travel above the federal rateEmployee Assistance ProgramSection 125 Flexible Spending Account plansMajority of office locations have on-site workout facilityS-E-A places a strong value on employee health and wellness across the company.
