Adjunct Faculty ABSN Track, Columbus, OH - College of Nursing
Xavier University is seeking qualified candidates to join our pool of potential adjunct faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. This posting is intended to collect applications for part-time, non-tenure-track position for an Adjunct Instructor in the Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing in Science (ABSN) track.
Candidates must be dedicated to graduate or undergraduate teaching and demonstrate excellence in their field. The successful candidate will contribute to our commitment to excellence in teaching and student engagement.
Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis, and candidates may be contacted as teaching needs arise. Adjunct faculty contracts are issued on a semester-by-semester basis, depending on departmental needs and student enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completed an approved registered nursing education program
  • Have at least two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing; graduate degree preferred
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio and in state of practicum setting, if applicable.

Duties include:
  • Planning the student's clinical experience at the direction of the faculty member
  • support appropriate to the clinical situation
  • contribute to the evaluation the student's performance
  • supervise, teach, and evaluate up to 8 students in the clinical settings as well as guide students through simulation experiences based on course objectives and student learning needs
