JOB SUMMARY:
Help power the future as a Project Manager leading some of the largest and most complex data center and mission-critical project generation projects in Ohio.
Ohio CAT (Columbus) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our Power Systems Sales team. As the team leader, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and coordinating project activities to meet deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors or consultants, engineers, and customers to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
  • Project management for engine and power systems, including preparation of engineering submittals, equipment procurement, construction management, and working with field service technicians to support systems installation and equipment start-up.
  • Review project documents for compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Manage project billing activities including timely invoicing, change order administration and cost tracking.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience as a Project Manager or equivalent
  • Power Systems, Data Center/Mission-Critical Applications, Energy Transition, or CAT industry expertise preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering specifications and electrical system diagrams.
  • Some experience with relevant modeling application software (AutoCAD, Inventor) and business collaboration tools (Microsoft software suite - Excel, OneDrive, Teams)
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Must have a proven ability to complete projects according to the outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Maintain a strong field presence during critical project milestones, including equipment deliveries, commissioning, startup, and customer acceptance activities. Travel up to 50% to customer and job-site locations may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
