Job Title: Cash Applications Specialist – Project Management
Location: Dublin, OH (Hybrid – T, W, Th in office; M, F WFH)
Department: Finance – Cash Applications
Pay Rate: $25 – $27/hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking detail-oriented and analytical contractors to support project-based initiatives within the Cash Applications team. This role will focus on analyzing payment data, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting system enhancements to optimize cash application workflows. Ideal candidates will have strong Excel skills, ERP experience, and a background in finance or accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze large volumes of payment and remittance data to identify trends, discrepancies, and automation opportunities.
• Support reconciliation efforts between bank statements, lockbox files, and customer accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts Receivable, IT, Treasury) to streamline cash application processes.
• Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate findings and progress to management.
• Support ad hoc analytical requests and project deliverables as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or financial analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and banking platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation tools (e.g., RPA, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of lockbox processing and electronic payment formats (ACH, wire, credit card).
• Prior project work in finance transformation or system implementation.
• Experience with HighRadius cash application software.
• Familiarity with CashPro or similar banking platforms.

Additional Notes:

• Initial assignment includes training in the Cash Applications Specialist role, transitioning to Project work: applying cash to accurate accounts, checking remittance details, and researching the correct account for payment resolution.
• Customer service experience is a plus, including outreach to customers to gather remittance details.
• CashPro or similar banking system app experience needed; HighRadius experience a plus.
• Some Excel experience required (pivot table analysis).
• BA/BS preferred; HSD is the minimum education requirement.
