Hourly Rate $23.05 per hour plus shift differential

We are looking for a Production Operator for our Columbus, OH Facility!
Summary: To contribute to the production of metal insulated building panels as directed by Supervisor. Skilled Technical Industrial Machine Operator with strong mathematical and communication skills to operate and maintain state-of-the-art equipment used in the production of Kingspan panels. The ideal candidate should have excellent computer skills and the ability to understand measurements, work collaboratively in teams, apply critical thinking, have quality and safety awareness, and be mechanically oriented.
Essential Duties:
  • Follows up on work assignments from Supervisor.
  • Receives machine/process operations according to need and operator qualification.
  • Coordinates resource requirements with the Production Supervisor and other Team Leaders.
  • Ensures team productivity remains high by closely coordinating product change and brakes.
  • Contribute to the following:
    • The Product is manufactured within standard times.
    • The Product is manufactured according to the production schedule (timing and sequence).
    • The product is manufactured within engineering specifications.
    • The product is manufactured with the least amount of material and labor required.
  • Assures quality standards are met for all workstation/cell output:
    • Records all required data.
    • Ensures that all material is properly labeled and placed within proper staging/storage areas.
    • Identifies any non-conforming product to the Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technicians.
  • Ensures that any task performed within the work cell is completed per the written Standard Operating Procedure(s) for that task.
  • Completes all Preventative Maintenance requirements within the work cell.
    • Reports maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor
    • Communicates to other Team Leaders and the Production Manager when Policy violations are noticed within their work cell or other work areas of the facility.
    • Reports infractions to the Production Manager.
    • Participates in any required disciplinary action.
  • Contribute to an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the workstation/cell.
  • Operate air saw equipment
  • Reports under-performing Associates or temporary employees to the Production Manager.
  • All other duties assigned, as required.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree (related field) preferred.
  • Experience with measuring tools, preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills

Computer Skills:
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
