The role entails supporting the activities necessary to ensure compliance with applicable NERC and industry standards related to configuration changes to the transmission grid. Expected activities include but are not limited to: • Accurately model transmission system topology including impedance and facility ratings for lines, stations, and transformers for medium, high, and extra-high voltages using AEP-internal modeling databases. • Fulfill various system modeling related requests from Engineering and Operations personnel and submitted via ServiceNow ticketing system. • Collaborate with others internal/external to the team to model planned projects, representing the future transmission system, as needed. • Perform activities related to NERC Compliance standards.**Job Description****What you’ll do:****Essential Job Functions & Tasks**Technical Expertise: Possesses entry-level knowledge and experience in the application of theory to solve well-defined problems or provide analysis, with guidance from higher-level engineers. The ability to work non-traditional hours and adapt to changing schedules is essential for success in this position.**What we’re looking for:**Minimum Requirements – Grade 6This is an entry-level position for new graduates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program\*.
