Business Development Representative – SUD/Detox

Location: Columbus, OH, 43215

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative with a proven history of driving admissions and building referral partnerships throughout the Ohio market. This is an opportunity for someone who already knows the behavioral health landscape, has established relationships, and can make an immediate impact.

This is not an entry-level business development role. We are looking for someone with a strong network, commercial referral experience, and a successful track record in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Detox treatment.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial referral sources throughout the Ohio market.
  • Drive admissions from hospitals, behavioral health providers, private practices, EAPs, case managers, and other referral partners.
  • Grow market share through strategic outreach and relationship management.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, community meetings, and industry functions.
  • Meet and exceed monthly referral and admissions goals.
  • Work closely with admissions and leadership to ensure a seamless referral process.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Business Development experience within the behavioral health industry.
  • Direct experience marketing SUD, Detox, Residential, PHP, and/or IOP services.
  • Established commercial referral relationships within the Ohio market.
  • Active book of business with referral sources that can generate immediate opportunities.
  • Demonstrated history of producing approximately 15–20 commercial referrals per month (preferred).
  • Thorough understanding of commercial insurance and the private-pay behavioral health market.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Ohio territory.
Preferred Experience
  • Existing relationships with hospitals, therapists, psychiatrists, physician groups, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and behavioral health providers.
  • Proven ability to consistently increase admissions and grow a territory.
  • Strong reputation within the SUD and behavioral health community.
